Quick answer: this checker takes your four OET scores, your profession, your destination and your test details, and tells you whether your result meets the regulator’s requirement, the NMC and GMC for the UK, AHPRA for Australia, the Nursing Council for New Zealand, the NMBI for Ireland and the ECFMG for the USA. It shows every rule it applied, pass or fail, and if you fall short it tells you whether a second sitting can rescue you.

Why students with good scores still get rejected
Every month a student sends me a result card with three Bs and asks why the regulator refused it. It is almost never the English. It is one of five traps, and this checker tests all five.
- The one score trap. Regulators judge every sub-test on its own. Three Bs and a 340 in Reading is a fail for the NMC. And a 350 in Reading is now a fail for Australia, because since 23 April 2026 Australia wants 360 in Reading and Speaking.
- The version trap. The GMC and the ECFMG accept only the Medicine version. The NMBI and the NMC expect the Nursing version. A doctor who sat the Nursing test has a certificate the GMC will not read.
- The at home trap. OET@Home is accepted by the NMC and the GMC. It is not accepted by AHPRA, the Nursing Council of New Zealand or the NMBI. Same scores, wrong room, no registration.
- The date trap. Results are valid for two years for most regulators, three for New Zealand. Australia reads your scores against the table that applied on your test date, and the ECFMG counts only tests from 1 January 2025 for the current Pathways year.
- The Ireland trap. Ireland’s rule is the most misquoted: Grade B in three components and C+ in the fourth. The C+ can be in any one of them, but nothing may fall below 300, and there is no combining at all.

Every number here was read from the regulator’s own page on 2 September 2026, not from a forum, an agent or a WhatsApp group. The three tools share one rules file, so when a regulator moves, all three move together on the same day. Australia moved in April 2026 and this is what that looks like when it is handled properly.
